What's the pitch

Are you ready to be immersed in a medieval world where firstly you'll meet the fact that you are not a player, but a NPC ? Then some day, your quiet life of NPC is suddenly disturbed by the disparition of the Player ! Worse, it appears that you have been choosen amongst all NPCs to replace her or him ! From then your are engaged in a learning step on how to become a Player and accept the withcoming goals and status. After this short training period, You are led to seek informations about a mysterious "Land where flows Bliss, where joy abounds and where sits High Peace", called Anandaïa. On the indications of the first parchments and encounters, you therefore take the road of this quest in order to find this very enviable place, which make you go through a series of transformations by acquiring skills related to the evolution of your centers of energies or Chakras in contact with the situations and characters you encounter, and according to the responses you'll brings through your behavior. According to notes left behind him or her, that was the last wish of the Player before he or she disappeared...

I am belonging to Old School players and thus who can't help from totally disconnect from the old school way of playing and enjoying RPG games. My reference games are Ultima's serie formerly, and Elder Scroll serie in a more recent time. Open world exploration and character interactions are for most leading points, as immersive conditions to enter a Game.

That said, Anandaia aims at a different approach for several aspects : player will experiment a new character system based on Chakras, insted of classical attributes system like strength, agility, wisdom or so on, by gently gliding from one system to the other in a transitionnal move toward a new kind of immersion. Both systems will co-occur, creating a multi-sided gameplay. Interactions with environment, NPC as well as animals, will produce Karma that will impact on the behaviour of your further encounters as well.
